On the following pages you will find the very best in handcrafted buggies, wagons, carts, ponies, and horses As much as possible, the parts and accessories I use in construction and sell to the public are manufactured right here in the United States. The buggies, wagons, and carts are completely handmade in my shop right here in northeast Oklahoma. Driving a buggy or wagon should be fun--that's why we do it. I like designing and building vehicles that are fun. Fun to drive. Fun to own. Fun to be seen in. Fun to talk about. After all, what else is there?
Who We are and Where We AreFrank's Buggys (buggies) is a family owned business located in beautiful northeast Oklahoma ("Green Country"), about twenty five miles northeast of downtown Tulsa just outside of Claremore (Rogers County) - the birthplace of Will Rogers. Northeast Oklahoma is horse and cow country. The landscape is dotted with cattle ranches and horse facilities of all kinds, both large and small. Each country town has its own heritage of western culture. Local rodeo is as popular as baseball, football, or basketball for both male and female. My neighbors directly across the street own and operate the largest monthly horse sale in the six county area and one of the largest in the country. I made the decision that this was the best place for my horse and buggy business. We have a full stable raising and training Quarter Horses, Shetland Ponies, and Miniature horses for both driving and trail riding. The people in our area know horses and horse "gear" and won't settle for second-rate equipment of any kind. This has helped me develop and maintain my high standards for quality and customer satisfaction both in buggy building and horse sales. My goal and business plan is simple -- to create quality buggies, carts and wagons that are both attractive and fun to use, while being affordable for the average weekend user. There are many great cart, buggy, and wagon builders out there today, and I don't take anything from them. They have worked hard and earned their spot. I feel that my designs incorporate comfort, style, dependability, safety, and longevity all within certain budget considerations. I specialize in Mini (40" on down), Pony (40" up to 13.3hh), and Cobb (14-2 to 14-3hh) sizes. I can design and build a new buggy to match most uses and budgets. Some designs are perfect for a draft horse and I can supply any needed equipment. All of my vehicles are made using standard hand and small power tools - no mass production here. I don't start another buggy until I am finished with the one I am doing now. For this reason, no two buggies are exactly the same. When you buy one of my vehicles, you can be assured you have an original and probably won't see another one like it. I build them one at a time, so most are custom built to the new owners' specifications (height, width, length, color, seats, use, horse size, etc.). Different types of wood, finishes, and colors are used for different purposes, depending on the owners' wishes and budget restraints. All the work, including upholstery, is done right here in my shop. All metal work and welds carry a full three-year warranty. It doesn't leave until it is right. Your questions are welcome.
